Where I Get My Ideas
When I'm working on new book ideas, I take hundreds of photos.Yesterday, I wanted to take a trip to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich. This was the beginning of my journey to the stars. Well, not quite the beginning. The first part was a bus ride and a tube journey but I wasn't inspired to take any photos until I took the commuter boat from Embankment.
First stop, Festival Pier and the London Eye. I'm not a regular river commuter, so I didn't realise it would have been quicker for me to take the tube to Waterloo and catch the boat here(but it wouldn't have been as much fun!). London looks lovely in blue. It's a refreshing change from the frequent grey. Anyway, blue is one of my favourite colours. I'm always catching something blue in my photos.
So back to the river and speeding away...
Past St Paul's Catherdral
To the Tower
Under Tower Bridge
To The Royal Naval College at Greenwich.
I walked through the beautiful baroque building - a popular film location. This was the night-time film location for FRANKLYN, the futuristic Sci-Fi thriller to be released this summer (I'm an extra in it somewhere!)
And finally reached my destination.
The Royal Observatory, Greenwich.
This was really the beginning of my journey to the stars. I spent several hours in the Astronomy interactive galleries and watched the STAR LIFE show in the planetarium. I have a replenished archive of images. Now I'm ready to start writing!

what a charming journey! ooh and what are you writing that has to do with stars? hope to see you tomorrow at you-know-where
Couldn't possibly say - as you know - where you intend to go is not always where you end up!
